D. R. Berlin is an award-winning author of mystery suspense thrillers. A U.S. Army veteran and general surgeon, she brings firsthand experience from high-pressure environments into fiction shaped by danger, precision, and consequence.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from MIT, along with a minor in Writing, and later graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her background in science, medicine, and service informs the authentic tension and layered stakes in her storytelling.
Her debut thriller, The Third Estate: Secrets of the Manor, combines conspiracy, espionage, family secrets, and emotional risk in a story designed to keep readers guessing until the end.
When she is not writing, she is often behind the camera at her children’s sports events, where she has earned the nickname “Mamarazzi.”
